The Company was registered in 1991 under the name of A.V.T Plantations and Horticulture Consultants Private Limited with the object of under taking Consultancy and Advisory Services on all matters relating to Commercial Agriculture, Plantation Crops and other Horticulture crops including Spice Crops. Organizing Training Programmes, conducting Seminars and Conferences and Publishing Journals were some of the other objectives. The company was rechristened as Institute of Plantation and Horticulture Management and was shifted to its new premises.

Mr V.K. Abraham as Managing Director of this company provides an unrivalled source of Plantation Management expertise to the Plantation Industry. Mr Abraham has 35 years of Plantation Management experience in various capacities as Manager, General Manager, Director and as Managing Director of very large Plantation Companies for several years. He has wide exposure of plantation Management in Malaysia, Indonesia and African Countries like Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Ghana for several years. He is also a recipient of National Award from the President of India for best performance of Oil Palm India Ltd., while he was the Managing Director.

To further stengthen the Consultancy services, he has assembled a panel of outstanding plantation consultants and specialists, a team of Engineers and Chartered Accountants for providing efficient consultancy services of international standards.
